CC Mason Math Pentathlon Club

Why Join Math Pentathlon?

Mathematics Pentathlon® is a time-tested Program of interactive problem-solving games, supportive curricular and instructional activities, and assessment tools for students in grades K-7. This motivational program strengthens math concepts and skills, aligns with National and State Mathematics Standards, and stimulates creative thinking while developing Active Problem-Solving skills. A focus on conceptual understanding and the integration of spatial, computational and logical reasoning are key attributes of Mathematics Pentathlon. By using specially designed games and activities that differentiate instruction, ALL students of varying abilities and learning styles are motivated to enjoy math and spend more time learning this subject matter. These factors are critical in improving student performance in math. This exciting, engaging, effective, and Nationally Recognized STEM Program can be implemented in multiple ways: Classroom Instruction, Math Clubs, National Academic Tournaments, Enrichment, and Home Use.  Math Pentathlon has provided generations of educators, parents and students with the ability to see and use math as a fundamental way of approaching everyday problem-solving situations. We have 6 groups that meet for an hour once weekly after school (2 groups per division):

    • Division I: Grades K-1

    • Division II: Grades 2-3

    • Division III: Grades 4-5
